On the 20km train ride that operates between Myrdal and Flam, we see rivers & waterfalls cascading down the side of steep mountains. It had taken 20 years to build this Engineering Marvel, which contains 20 tunnels 18 of which are built b hand.

Veitastrond is a small village near to Jostadalsbreen Glacier and Jostadalsbreen National Park. It is located at the northern end of an isolated valley having only one road access which passes along the side of lake Veitastrondavatnet.

Norway… Fjord Cruise on Naeroyfjord

This is considered one of the most beautiful Fjords and it is also one of the UNESCO world heritage Area. The narrow and spectacular Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep mountains.

Norway… Stalheimfossen Waterfall

While driving down the famous Stalheimskleiva, a road with so many curves, one can have good view of both Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen. At the first curve of the Stalheimskleiva there is a nice view on the Stalheimsfossen.

Norway…. Undredal

In between Flam and Gudvangen, if you take an exit from the highway you can reach the small village Undredal. After visiting Stegastein on the way back to Gudvangen, we decided to visit the Stave church in Undredal.

Norway…Stegastein

Stegastein is a viewpoint in Aurland around 6 km from Aurlandsvangen. The road which leads to this viewpoint is very very narrow. The viewpoint platform is made of Wood and the end of the viewpoint is closed by glass. One can have a spectacular view of Aurlandsfjord from here.

Norway… Gudvangen

Gudvangen is located on the banks of the UNESCO’s World Heritage – listed Nærøyfjord, surounded by mountains, waterfalls and narrow valleys.

Norway… Vidfoss & Vøringossen

Vidfoss is located on the left side of the RV13 when you drive north from Latefossen(around 7km from Latefossen). We could not stop the car as we did not see any parking space nearby. Just took some pictures from the Car. The shape of the waterfall amused me the most.

Norway…LÅTEFOSSEN

Latefossen is probably the most popular and dramatic of the waterfalls in Oddadalen (the Odda Valley). This waterfall lies in the municipality of Odda of Hordaland region in Norway. It consists of two separate streams flowing down from lake Lotevatnet which join in the middle and flows under the Norwegian Highway E13 making a spectacular view.
