We visit this Zoo at least once a year because of kids or guests. And each time the zoo has surprised us with some new experience it has to offer to make the visit special. So, this year too it was the case.
We entered the zoo from the “Tiger eingang”, the entrance which is near to where tigers are kept. We saw many photographers near the Tiger enclosure and went there. Tiger was with her two cubs. Mother tiger seemed to be training the cubs how to catch the prey. Cubs were hesitating to enter the water and used to run away and mother used to chase them. The father tiger was kept in a separate enclosure and it was marching around with full fury, roaring.
We never missed the famous Dolphin show. Each time we watched it with same excitement as we had done the first time.
There are variety of colourful lovely birds.

One can spend an entire day here as the zoo is really big and has housed so many different animals. One can finance the cost of food for their choice of animal for an entire year ranging from 50 euros-7700 euros depending on the animal that one chooses.
The aquarium in the zoo is also very big & is home to so many colourful fishes.
Detailed info about the Zoo, timings, ticket prices, transport can be found in the Duisburg zoo website. Even though the zoo is open whole year(during Nov-Dec only weekends), it looks more beautiful during summer months because of greenery.
